Honda Motor Co. and Nissan Motor Co. have agreed to jointly develop key software for their next-generation cars, the first major collaboration since the two Japanese automakers ended talks to combine last year.
The companies will work on a new in-vehicle operating system and the electronic control units that act as a cars central computing system, they said Bloomberg Terminal Monday. Theyll deploy the technology from the fiscal year that starts in April of 2029.
